The Grey Cloud of Mommy Guilt

It's up! (Why is that phrase makes me giggle? I know, I know, grow up) That's right there's another post up over at Mamapedia Voices.  Today, I'm talking about "The Grey Cloud of Mommy Guilt"

Please go over and take a look, then if you like what you read, link to it on Facebook or Twitter, or link to me here, pretty please!  This is one of those topics that for me was a real revolation.  I had no idea that I would feel like that, and I had even less of an idea that it was totally normal.  Why not share the news and take the stress off those guilt ridden people we call parents.
In Case you forgot, CLICK HERE TO READ!
And if you felt really awesome (which of course you are) come back and tell me what you think.  Do you agree?  Do you disagree? Share a moment of the guilt with me, let's shed a little light on that cloud and make it not so grey!

The Cheese Stands Alone

Sometimes as a parent I feel like a ship alone in the night. As the primary disciplinarian, the day to day caregiver and chief wiper (I wipe noses, bums and counters ya'll) I feel like I'm the only one on this journey called parenthood. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about Corey, he helps when he's home, he loves and cares for our kids when he can but the reality of our life is, I'm generally the one home with the kids.

And it's not just in parenting the kids that I feel alone, it's sometimes in the choices I make as a parent that leave me feeling as such. It's a rude awakening when you realize there is no such "Bible of Babies" to guide you through this journey, just prayer, luck and a good gut instinct.
I was having a moment a few weeks ago that prompted me to write THIS post. Mamapedia has picked it up and you can go over HERE to read it. Take a gander and then let me know what you think, either here or there.
The big question is, do you, as a parent feel as though sometimes you are the smelly cheese alone in the room?

The Adventures of Supermom: On Taking a Break

In honor of Mother's Day, a familiar face has come to visit.  Over at Mamapedia SuperMom has decided to make another appearance, and this time she's feeling slightly broken, exorbitently tired and ready to drop.  Pretty much she looks like she had a fight with a semi truck, a 3 year old and a 1 year old and lost.  Go on over and find out what how our heorine fairs in The Adeventures of SuperMom: on Taking a Break!

ps. Then please, because this Mom needs comments to fuel her Mom Mobile comment there and/or here and let me know what you think!

Up over at Voices - SAHM vs. WAHM

Just a quick note everyone, before I take off on my weekend away with my husband.  I've got another article that's been picked up over at Mamapedia and it went live today!

Go on over and take a read about SAHM's vs. WAHM's.  It's an article that's been published here that they picked up so for some of you it may be redundant but why not read it again and then leave a comment.  Or visit Mamapedia on Facebook and join the conversation, I have a feeling there's going to be a good one, conversation that is!

Happy weekend all, I'll be back on Monday with more to share.

Push - Facing Labour and Delivery, Head on!

I've been published again!  I wonder sometimes, as more articles go in and the opprotunities come and change if I'll ever stop being excited about having something I've written published, somewhere other than here.

For as long as I've been verbal (which if anyone is counting has been about 25.5 years, I was talking at 18 months...a lot) or maybe since I could write, I have had dreams of writing.  Of it being not ony passion and my emotional outlet, but also my career and my mark on this world (some of that has changed, while I'd still love to leave a literary mark on history, I've left the two best footprints in my beautiful daughters).  And while I know those dreams will fade away joining the ranks of becoming a popstar (because they don't let people refered to as "Ma'am" be a popstar, it doesn't work that way...) and learning the inner workings of the male brain, I can still enjoy the small pleasures of my workings going up, being published, somewhere else.

So, without further adieu, here it is - Push - Facing Labour and Delivery, head on!  Go on over and take a peak, leave a comment there or here and tell me what you think.  How was labour for you, or how do you feel about it?  Or if you want, you can pop over to Mamapedia's Facebook page, that way you can interact with the other moms who have something to say!

ps. I will announce the winner from the contest later today or tomorrow morning.  It's been a crazy weekend, with details to follow but I just haven't got around to the winner part yet!
