Week 3 - Growing like a flower

Well, we had our 3 week doctor's appointment this week and the verdict is in...she's perfect! Weighing in at 8lbs 3oz she was quite the little lady for me, not a cry or a squak until the very end when the doc started twisting her little legs. Hearing how pleased the doctor was with her progress was music to my ears. I'd say she's "Growing like a weed" but quite frankly I hate that saying...who wants to be compaired to a yucky weed. Instead let me say, "She's growing like a beautiful little flower." Hooray Bethany!

I don't have to tell most of you what a trial this pregancy was for Corey and I, so hearing that she's healthy and growing well was a relief. There was a part of me that through out the whole ordeal was worried that something would be wrong when she was born. I couldn't help but be concerned that her heart would be like mine or that all the medicine I was given at the beginning would cause a major problem. But as always God proved faithful and all the prayers that were said on our befalf were answered the way we had hoped. I say that because I am fully aware of the fact that every prayer is answered we just might not always like the answer. But whatever the case I am thankful and she is wonderful.

Not only are we thankful for our sweet Bethany but we are thankful that the pregnancy is over and that for the most part my pain is gone. Being exausted(that's for you Dad)aside I can't believe how much better I feel. It is so nice to feel like I'm slowing returning to normal. Life is good and I couldn't be happier. Who knew being a mom and a wife was so great!
